Yikai is a Shanghai born Chinese with multicultural background who has lived in Germany for many years. He is an experienced trainer, working with various target groups in both academics and business. Once upon a time, he worked with multinational firms worldwide on organisation development projects, particularly diversity management and leadership development programs. He was also a project manager at the Jane Goodall Institute, a global wildlife and environment conservation organization founded by UN Messenger of Peace, primatologist and anthropologist Dr. Jane Goodall. Yikai is currently writing his Ph.D. dissertation on intercultural communication under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Andreas Mueller and Prof. Dr. Birgit Neuer at Pädagogische Hochschule Karlsruhe. His research aims to address the variability in argumentation preferences across cultures, and, specifically, in managerial communication via English as a lingua franca.
